Ghrelin cafe & patisserie:- A New place to chill & eat in himayatnagar

Ghrelin is a new patisserie in town which is all set to serve the customers who live in heart of the city. It is such a great feeling to have you in the area of himayatnagar. Because,there are only few places to have desserts in himayatnagar & to chill. After Tasting your items,I felt that you are gonna make a huge buzz in this area and I am sure you guys will do great in your business.

For those who don’t know what ghrelin means….it means a harmone in our human body which produces appetite. This is such a thoughtful name right??

Guys, I’m more of a dessert person & i have a special space in my heart for desserts all the time. They have got tarts,cheesecakes, macaroons & many options. I bet, after looking at these many items here…no one can resist themselves from eating them,even if you are on a diet.

Let us start with the starters, we have got chicken cheesy fries where the cheese was added in a ample amount and it was a perfect starter to start with ..!! Tomato MOZARELLA BASIL sandwich was a little disappointment to me. As the filling of tomato and basil pesto was stuffed between panini & it didn’t really gave us the actual flavor of tomato.

Pomodoro pasta is one of the finest items I have tried here. They didn’t add cheese in more quantity,just by adding small amount of cheese in it made the dish phenomenal. Also,their sauce needs a special mention here ..as it was completely made out of tomato puree,they didn’t add any flour into it. Grilled chicken and onion burger should be a bit juicy and some sauces would have made it better. But, it’s good when had with tomato sauce.

As I was totally full by these items & I directly went to try their desserts. They have showcased every dessert item in the counter & everything was presented well. I ordered myself a French toast with Nutella and it was superb. Bread was so soft and the sugar on top of it made the bread even more tasty & having it with Nutella is the best combination. I don’t really have to tell you guys how good it is..!! You must know it😜.

In the waffles section, we tried two variants. One was waffle topped with bananas and caramel sauce where the waffles were so crispy and a bit crunchy and I really loved them. Second one was waffles topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce. I’d recommend them to swap the scoop with a vanilla flavor and top it with chocolate sauce. This will make it taste bomb.

They do have coffees,macaroons and more interestingly they have fondant cakes which they prepare it in their own store & they do take up orders on it.

DECCAN CANTEEN :- TASTE OF SOUTH INDIA

Deccan Canteen is a fine dine-in restaurant located in the prime area of Hyderabad which offers exclusively south Indian food which is quite different in servings. This is a nice place to chill with your friends or to spend some valuable time with your family. The moment I entered this place, I got that super classy feeling by looking at those comfy sofas & pretty tables. This is really a huge space which can accommodate up to 100 people at a time.

From the last month, this place has been talk of the Town & heard some good reviews about this place on social media & also from my friends . So, I decided to visit this place and try as many dishes as I can😜. I went there for lunch. To be honest, I expected it’d filled with crowd. But, to my surprise the restaurant is empty 😅 & then people started coming one by one making this place look colorful.

I usually start my lunches with mocktails, but this time I started with their south Indian soups which are DHANIYA SHORBA & vellulli Kodi charu. In which, I mostly liked the DHANIYA SHORBA because of the direct hit of coriander flavor to my mouth , where as in vellulli Kodi charu it was warm & soothing is all I can say.

So, after soups … We obviously started having starters . We were given a lot of starters, it took so much time for all of us to finish them😂. There are few vegetarians in our group, so we had to order some vegetarian dishes for them & we chose MOKKA Jonna kebab which is normally known as corn kebab, the kebab is made by mixing corn with maida & some grounded Indian spices & lentils in it which are quite chewy & subtle in spicyness. I had papdi Chaat after so long , I still can’t get enough of this amazing dish prepared by the folks of Deccan Canteen. I mean seriously, there is some magic in their hands. They made it so delicious that I didn’t had this kinda Chaat in my life in any restaurant.

So, after having 2 veg starters we moved on to non-veg vegetarian section. We had a look at the menu & there were lot of sections in starters naming tandoor, kebabs, fried items & some other thing😅. We asked waiters to suggest us some best dishes on their menu & they brought us Mutton ghee roast which texture was so hard ,but it really tasted delicious. Fish KOLIWADA is similar to fish fingers, but the preparation of it is quite different from other versions of fish. We also had fish Tikka which was so so so so so so so sooooooooo good in taste which was sooooooooo soft and it melted in my mouth in no time. Raju gari Kodi ROYYALU is something you can’t miss at this place. The moment you see this starter, I bet you are gonna fall in love with this dish because of it’s golden color which was so appealing & that doesn’t make you wait to try it.

Cut Mirchi wasn’t that spicy , but if want it to be spicy you can ask them to make it according to your taste & preferences. They also have some amazing breakfast combos. In which, I tried one combo which is Masala dosa with Telangana chicken curry. Usually, I love dosas more than anything in south indian breakfast & chicken curry in lunch. So, if you give a person’s most loved items in one dish , you know he is going to heaven after tasting those items 😜

Enough of starters, Now i’m gonna take you into their main course section in which we had a bunch of Indian breads like garlic naan, butter naan, tandoori roti & kulcha. I totally loved the flavors in Gobi mutter & guntur chicken curry. Especially, in the guntur chicken curry I got that spicy hint of guntur chilly in it. So, this makes my favorite curry in their whole main course section.

You know what?? Coming to a south Indian restaurant & not having rice items is a sin😝😝 . Andhra veg pulao is really great with it’s flavors & subtle spicyness. Coz, that is what makes a pulao perfectly delicious.

What’s next??

Yes, you’re right. It’s desserts time now😉. I had a lot of expectations for their desserts, coz I taught they’d be offering us some south Indian desserts/ sweets , but most of them are North Indian ones except junnu. Starting off with gulab jamun, it was so sweet … I mean the sweetness in it is more than required. They really have to work on it. Jalebi with rabri was fantastic in taste. But, I thought if rabri is some what more thicker it would have been perfect. Junnu was so soft & it’s jiggling while I was try to cut it😂. But, it tasted fantasticslly good. I tried apricot delight in many places & most of those places served it in a correct way. But, here I was shocked & Disappointed by looking at this dessert in this place. Because, it mostly looks like a pineapple pastry & it was awful.

WAI KIKI- TASTE OF POLYNESIA, RADISSON HOTEL

I still remember the day of my childhood i dreamt of dining at star hotel. After many long years, that dream really came true in the last week. I was so excited to try their food. Dining at a star hotel really gives you a priceless and an incredible experience,isnt it??.

The place that i have visited is a part of the Radisson hotel which is located at hi-tech city. This place has got 4 restaurants in one building and luxury suites as well.

I was invited for inauguration of the restaurant named “Wai -kiki” which serves Polynesian cuisine. Seems new,right??. Yes,this is the only place in hyderabad which serves this cuisine. Basically,polynesian cuisine is from the Polynesian islands & hawaain islands. This cuisine got originated from hawaai. This cuisine is not so popular around the world,but it has got lot of specialities in it.

While you enter the place,you can feel those positive vibes and you will be able to hear tropical instrumentals.This place is luxurious with its comfortable seating and with the carving on the walls. They also have a bar which serves legit cocktails & the bartender is super skilled . I am a non-alcoholic guy,and i didn’t try any of them.

So,the moment i picked the menu … I wasn’t able to order anything , because i am very new to this cuisine and i needed some help to order which item would be good. The chef himself came to us and described about the polynesian cuisine and suggested few items which shouldn’t be missed at all. So,we started with the creole fish soup. This soup is totally different in its process, because the whole fish is combined with the soup while preparing it. So,we will be able to get the aroma of the fish easily. Tom kha soup was soo good and the chicken pieces were given enough and its also spicy enough.

From the starters, i have tried only one item because in total there were two starters given by them ,but i am allergic to mushroom and didn’t dare to try it. But, my friends totally liked it more than anything here. I have tried crispy sweet and sour broccoli and water chestnuts. That was less in spice but tasted good.

The maincourse is really a fantastic experience ,because every item in the menu which was under main course will be cooked right infront of you on a small trolley. And ,the speciality is every item will be cooked under 5 minutes. I am guy who loves to see the dish cooking,arent you? I have tried paper thin lamb flambe which is served with mashed potatoes and some veggies. Lamb was tossed with butter,later on rum & white wine were added into it which gave an amazing aroma . Lamb wasn’t juicy,as i said it was paper thin lamb. After that, flambed prawn San Fransisco was made. Prawns werent cooked totally. That can be known by,if prawns didn’t turn straight in shape ,it can be easily said that it wasnt cooked totally. It was yummy and creamy. It was melting in mouth like anything. Korean style barbeque is one thing which needs to be served in every restaurant and it has to be know by everyone in this city. That was unlike the barbeque which we are having in this city. Ther process,the marination,the plating … everything is different when it comes to korean style barbeque. This was so juicy and so soft from the inside. I have always tried thai reen curry . It was a regular thing in Japanese restaurants. But, Here i have tried Thai chicken red curry which tasted totally different from the green ones which we get in other restaurants. It was spicer than that,it was more creamy and it has got less coconut flavor in it. This did go really good with the Hawaiian style fried rice. I didnt find anything special in it ,but it tasted fantastic.

In the desserts,few items are made in the trolley right infront of us just like the maincourse. Desserts got delayed, but after tasting it i felt like it was totally worthful taking much time in preparing it. Started with chefs special Chocolate island. There is a strawberry flavoured icecream inside the Chocolate ball and hot toffee sauce was poured on it to melt that outer layer. It was a jaw-dropping experience. That tasted sweet and it is super cool inside. Flamed crepes ballon rogue was made on the trolley . First of all, a scoop of vanilla icecream was moulded in the crepe and few strawberries are caramelised and the red wine was added to it to balance the flavors . The presentation was a feast to my eyes. Not just the presentation,it also tasted ace.

Overall,it was a nice and priceless experience to dine -in here. The staff were so kind and courteous. They have helped a lot in suggesting the dishes. It was nice meeting everyone over there. And ,the chef was so brilliant and he is aware of everything in Polynesian cuisine.

This outlet has opened its first branch few days ago in begumpet right beside karachi bakery. It is the biggest outlet out of all their outlets. It can accomodate upto 20-25 people nicely.

This place has some classy yellow colored walls. Also, there are pictures of waffles mounted on walls which makes you feel hungry by looking at it. Circular tables are present over there. So that, more items can be placed on the table. As it has larger surface area.

FOOD:- I have tried around 8 waffles on their menu which i feel , everything is perfect with no remarks.

I really love the way they made it. While receiving each and every waffle , it is ensured that its hot and presented good. Belgian chocolate waffle really takes me to heaven. TOLLGATE:- You might have heard this word before, but now this is going to be something different. It is a highway themed restaurant recently located at jubilee hills road no:-45 in a huge area. Basically, this restaurant is not same as other restaurants . This restaurant serves you breakfast,lunch and dinner on one platform. This unique idea separates it from other restaurants. While having food, I really felt as i was dining under a fly-over. This was such an amazing experience.

Coming too the main thing, This restaurant owns 4 Franchises. You can avail  items(as per the timings)  whenever you dive into tollgate. There are SOUTH INDIAN EXPRESS,WICH WAY,DHABA BY RAJENDAR SINGH, GO JUICE(This is their own brand which serves milkshakes,thickshakes,smoothies and fruit juices)

This place is really huge in area. They have outdoor seating,indoor seating which some what gives you a modern-DHABA feeling. Also, on the first floor they are having a big screen to watch cricket,movies,whichever you like. This total place can accomodate around 150-170 people. There are pictures mount on the wall which literally tempts you to try it. Seating arrangement is completely comfortable.

How can I forget about that flyover which made of steel…? This starts from the entrance and ends on the other side. Also, there are water sprinklers which release small amount of water to cool the temperature ,if it is hot.

Glocal junction is  now opened in kondpur. And the old one which is located at jubilee hills is closed permanently. This new outlet of glocal junction is spacious. It can accomodate around 200-230 people max. It even has a seperate smoking zone. They even serve cocktails,mocktails,food,whisky,rum and all types of international brands as well as indian brands.

The theme looks like a mechanical shop revamped into nice restaurant. You can watch the spoons shaped into spanners, Plates like tool box..etc.

I came here with 3 of my foodie friends to try their sunday brunch which is divided into 3 parts.

  2. COST:- 850/-**( UNLIMITED FOOD + ONE VARIETY OF MOCKTAIL (UNLIMITED) AND ONE BEER)

So, I am a non-alcoholic, I have tried the first one . They have served 8 starters,2 pizzas, one mocktail, huge spread of maincourse, 2 types of pasta and desserts.

1) TOKRI CHAAT:- The tokri  is delightfully crispy, and it is made by deep-frying grated potatoes using a mould. The crispy tokris or baskets are then used to plate the chaat.

2) ACHARI PANEER TIKKA:- Achari Paneer Tikka is the most popular vegetarian appetizer in the Punjabi Cuisine. A blend of pickling spices goes into the marinade giving a distinctive flavor to the panner.

3)BLACK PEPPER KUKKAD CHICKEN KEBAB:- These are spicy enough and tasted good with the dip.

7) MASALA CROQUETTE:- These are basically made with potatoes. It is little crispy but the spices aare not added as per required. It would have been better,if it is more spicy & if it is served with tartar sauce.

8) CHICKEN MANCHURIA:- These are fried chicken balls cooked in spicy sauce batter. This tasted well with tomato sauce.

PIZZAS:-

1) BARBEQUE CHICKEN PIZZA:- Thin crust pizza topped with finely cutted chicken pieces, pepperoncini peppers, capscicum,onion, and cheese. This is perfectly made and must-try item here.

MAINCOURSE:-

There are many items provided in the maincourse, as i was completely full by starters, I have tried chicken tawa pulao which is spicy and had aa good taste. Chicken lasagna which tasted good but there is more pepper in it.

Also , they are having chicken aand paneer shawarma in the menu which I hadn’t tried it on that day.

DESSERTS:-

1)ASSORTED MINI DOUGHNUTS :- This tasted good but didn’t go well after having that hectic starters and maincourse.

HAIKU- The meaning of haiku in Japanese is poetry. It serves all kind of Japanese,thai and asian cuisines. It’s more of a pan-asian restaurant. Now a days, the restaurants serving these kind of cuisines re growing up fastly in Hyderabad. It is located in banjara hills road no.12. It isnot easy to find this place even in moderate traffic. The board which represents this restaurant is very small . One cannot park his bike inside the compound. I have placed it on foothpath. You can’t place your vehicle inside unless if you are coming by car.

This restaurant is in  2 floors. In the first floor, you can find some nice type of lights  in the nights . This place has nice wall arts and each and everything in this place is handcrafted like,chairs,furniture…etc.

To start the lunch, we have ordered bubble tea which is totally refreshing with some tapioca balls inside it. This is the basic thing to do if you are at haiku.

  • KHAO SOI:- This is a soup like dish made wwith a mix of crispy noodles and boiled eggs,pickled mustard greens,lime and coconut milk. This is thick and nicely served .

  • TOM YUM SOUP:- Tom yum or tom yam is a type of hot and sour Thai soup, usually cooked with shrimp. Tom yum has its origin in Thailand.

  • LAOTIAN SPICY NOODLE:- This is so nice served with chicken aand noodles and zucchini in hot water. I like the pieces in this soup which were bigger.

  • JAPANESE STYLE VEG DIMSUMS:- Vegetable curry filled in maida and it is steamed at high temperature. It is famous Chinese starter which is usually taken with tea.

  • CRAB CAKES:- A crab cakeis a variety of fishcake that is popular in the United States. It is composed of crab meat and various other ingredients. Mostly “BLUE CRAB” is used to prepare this dish.

  • VEG SUSHI:- It is a Japanese item made withvinegared rice most of the times.Styles of sushi , ingredients and its presentation vary widely, but the most common thing is sushi rice.

  • SHRIMP SKEWERS:- These are made by grilling or roasting the shrimp holded to a wooden or steel stick. This tasted good and it is super spicy.

  • SATAY CHICKEN:- These are Small pieces of meat/chicken marinated and grilled on a skewer and served with a spicy sauce . These is a must try option.

  • SHRIMP SUSHI:-This is also made with vinegred rice but the ingredients inside re filled up with shrimps. This goes well with soya sauce.

  • MANGOLIAN CHICKEN NOODLES:- These noodles are basically stir fried with soya sauce and hoisin sauce which brings a spicy taste to it.

  • LAYERED INDULGENCE:- This is a wonderful dessert with caramel,cookie dough and a variety of biscuits in 3 layers respectively. This tasted sweet and the caramel which is coming out is soo good to have a look on it.

  • MANGO MOUSSE:- It gives a nice mango taste with sour and sweetness at a time. It is so creamy and thick as well. But, one cannot regret it to have it.

THE PRESIDENT DHABA

PRESIDENT DHABA:- This is a place where you can find amazing indian food with an ultimate ambiance. As if we were on a highway ,we would definitely pick up a nice dhaba to have some food. But, I really miss the experience of having food in dhaba when I am at Hyderabad. For sharing all my lost feelings,president dhaba hs opened its first ever branch in the heart of Hyderabad . It is located in madhapur,silicon valley.

While coming to the place, Once I stepped into this place, I clearly felt the experience of a dhaba. I really fell in love with those tables, cots where you can sit on them and enjoy the experience of having food in our home . They have both indoor and outdoor seating facility and has a capacity of 50-100pax.

Those walls were mounted with some old radio’s to get the feel of that theme. I must say one thing after looking at this place, PRESIDENT DHABA is the president of all the other dhaba’s. This is really a tiny place but attracts most of the people just by their theme. I loved everything about the ambiance, What not? …Those floorings , blue color painted windows with the best combination of yellow coloured walls,their decors and mostly the seating. Where can you find a place like this in Hyderabad?

Without wasting any time, we started the session. I actually ordered for a strawberry and oreo milkshakes which were present on their menu. But , there is no availability of these shakes here. Being a smoothie lover, I really felt a big disappointment here. Keeping it aside, they are having limesoda which has 2 types of it . One was sweet soda and masala soda. Out of these wo, I Loved the masala soda and it is even healthier than sweet soda. Also, in sweet soda, It shouldn’t have been more sweet. But,these are totally refreshing.

We have ordered veg items in the starers first and continuing with tandoori and Chinese starters,

1) CRISPY VEG:- This tasted well with that crunchy texture. But,it is not worth for the price.

2) COTTAGE CHEESE IN HOT GARLIC SAUCE:- This was served with cottage cheese added with some nice aromatic garlic sauce which brings perfect spices to it.

3) DRAGON VEG:- This is basically a Chinese starter which just looked like a non-veg starter but it’s a pure veg item. This is one of the must try options here. It was spicy and juicy.

4) BANJARA MURGH:- This is completely a rajasthani dish served with garlic sauce. That didn’t tasted well as it is not spicy.

5) ACHARI MURGH TIKKA:- This dish is one of the perfectly made in all the items I have tried here. It wasperfectlyginger paste and hung curd.

6) MANGOLIAN CHICKEN:- This is coated with cornstarch but I felt the taste of it is as same as other chicken items.That might be because of the marination done to it is common for every item.

Going on to the maincourse, we ordered only their signature dishes as we were already filled up with starters.

1) RAAN TANDOORI MASSALA:-This is the curry which goes well with butter naan. It consisted of gravy and a leg piece in it and tossed with butter.

2) MURGH TIKKA MASALA:- This is also named as british national dish. As we all know,chicken is the main ingredient used in it. This is too spicy. It would have been less spicy.

3) BUTTER NAAN & GARLIC NAAN:- These indian breads are completely perfect. Butter naan goes well with murgh tikka masala and garlic naan with raan tandoori masala.

4) MUTTON BIRYANI:- This is the perfect dish in the maincourse. This contains more boneless pieces which everyone like to have that way. It tasted well with the spices mixed in it.

5) NON-VEG THALI:- This non-veg thali is reasonably priced here which contains mutton biryani,2 roti’s,one chicken curry,one veg curry and with thick curdtopped with mirchi powder and with coriander leaves.

DESSERTS:-

GULAB JAMUN:- A classic Indian sweet or dessert that is very famous and is enjoyed in most festive and celebration meals. … Gulab jamun are berry sized balls dunked in rose flavored sugar syrup. This is priced high we don’t get enough jamuns in this. Only 3 gulab jamun’s for 120/** is priced higher.

And how did i even forgot to share about the experience of PATIALA LASSI.It is soo thick and can satisfy 2 people. But the price is on higher side.

SERVICE:- Service is a bit disappointmment to me. They were not reacting in time. And also, they are not aware of the names of the dishes which were served for us.

MALAKA SPICE-THE SOUTH EAST ASIAN CUISINE

MALAKA SPICE:- MALAKA was the name originated from the Malaysian WORD (MELAKA). It is a place where you can find south-east Asian cuisine. This place has food from various parts of the world like Malaysia,Singapore,Vietnamese,thai and as well as Chinese food . This place is not only limited to Hyderabad, it even have branches at goa,nashik, pune and 2 other places excluding Hyderabad. This restaurant was started by a couple chandawarkar and late cheeru ( who is also a chief chef and a food experimenter behind most of the recipes available there).

While coming to the place, It is located in the most happening area in hyderabad at jubilee hills in the lane of TV5 office. It is very easy to find out this place even in a moderate traffic. There is also a availability of having candle light dinner for couples, outdoor seating, indoor seating . But, in the mornings I prefer outdoor seating to have food with a nice view of Hyderabad. In the night times , it is better to sit inside for better lightning. .


I felt really amazed by the ambiance of this restaurant. They have some colours painted to the wall and doors and windows with blue in colour. Also, beautiful paintings were mounted on the walls. They even have MALAKA SHOP where you can buy the paintings made by local artist.

They get their spices from different countries like Indonesia,Malaysia(mostly),Singapore,Vietnam,combodia,Taiwan,Thailand,also from china. These different spices are used for their different dishes. They discover every new item in a week and serve it to the customers. Thanks to piyush who has been with us through out the session. He explained us a lot about the history of this place and also he explained us about the each and every item which is ordered by us .

And then , we have started with some mocktails, you can’t find some of these mocktails in any of the restaurant. Because, these are discovered by these people.

1) MALAKA THAI ICE TEA:- It is a combination of milk and lemon grass stem in it. It is so refreshing and this is completely different experience to me. I haven’t tried this kind of iced tea in my life. It is a must-try option here.

2) BERRYLICIOUS SHAKE:- This is made by selected berries to get an enormous taste to it . And there is a slight touch of salt was given to the glass.

3) VIRGIN MOJITO:- This tasted not so good. May be , I didn’t felt the taste because there is more ice in it.

After having these amazing mocktails, we decided to give a try of different soups.

1) TOM KHA:- This is a combination of mushrooms, lemon grass and coconut milk in it. Not being a mushroom fan, I didn’t like it much.

2) MALAKA PO CHEERU:- Here, the main ingredient is mutton and a slight touch of coriander . This is really good.

3) TOM YUM:- This is very hot and spicy,mainly made with chicken. Out of all these soups,this receives a gold medal.

How can we stop just by soups?? Now, lets head on to some starters .

1) PUMPKIN CHIPS:- These are made by sliced pumpkins by adding great spices to it and topped with fried curry leaves. It is prepared well. There are no negatives in it.

2) LAMB CHOPS:- For those who love sea food, this gives a heavenly taste for them. It is so tender and the texture is perfect.

3) TOP HATS CHICKEN:- Rice sheets are made of a hollow shape with one opening and filled with minced mutton,coriander leaves. It is better to ask the waiter to which type of the sauce suits it .

4) MUTTON MURTABAK:- This is realy amazing. This is totally presented with kheema inside of it. This is also the famous indo-pakistan dish.

MAINCOURSE:-

We actually had very limited items in the maincourse,as we were all done with those starters and mockatils.

We started with Burmese curry noodles which was served with special Burmese noodles and boiled eggs on it. This doesn’t taste good at all. Some kind of weird smell comes from it . Singapore chilli noodles were spicy enough and gives an amazing taste.

I am not a big fan of noodles. So, I skipped another two items and got butter naan with Taiwanese stir fried chicken and sambal crunchy veggies.Out of these two, I have liked Taiwanese stir fried chicken.May be because chicken present in it. And the another invention of them is ROTI JHALA —means “net bread” literally—is another Malaysian recipe that deserves special introduction on Rasa Malaysia. This has to be taken with kari kapitan curry . That’s the great combination out of all the items .

By this maincourse,my stomach has filled totally . But ,no meal is completed without having desserts,right?

1) CHOCOLATE WALNUT TART:- This chocolate and walnut tart from malaka spice makes a beautiful winter dessert. The creamy ice cream cuts through the richness of the tart perfectly.

2) CHOCO LAVA CAKE:- This comes with a nice chocolatey cake , a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a small rectangular chocolate sheet.

3) CHOCOLATE BROWNIE:- This comes with a brownie and two scoops of vanilla icecream. Brownie is baked completely perfect and the nuts added in it are great.

SERVICE:- There are lot of waiters present over there to satisfy each and every customer without fail. If we even have any problem with the dish,they will definitely replace it with a new one in the span of few minutes. They have patiently answered all the questions made by us about the spices added in the dish and about the preparation of it . Once again I thank, Mr.piyush for being with us in this whole session and explaining all the history, location,and about the ambiance. If this consistency is maintained further , it stands in a number one position in the Hyderabad.

PRANA-MANASAROVAR-THE FERN HOTEL

While entering into the place, I felt like I am going into a palace. This place if filled up with nice tables,big chandeliers, flower vases and their gold coated walls….Thats really enough for a perfect lunch or dinner. But I prefer dinner would be more fun.

Actually,we went there for a buffet which have a spread of 3 starters, 6 main course curries, one welcome drink,salads,4 to 5 desserts.

It costs around 899/-.

It is perfect for corporate people,software employees.There is also a meeting room where corporate meetings go on everyday.

WHILE COMING TO THE FOOD, they welcomed us with a refreshment drink called kiwi refreshment cooler. This is so sweet which contains more sugar in it than required.

Starters:-

1) Soya garlic prawns:- This is served with prawns topped with some ginger pieces and coriander leaves. Soy sauce,brown sugar was stirred well and mixed up with prawns and heated in a oil pan. Even rice wine is used to prepare this dish.

2) Kung pao chicken:- In chinese it is transcribes as Gong bao or Kung po. It is a stir fry chinese dish made with chicken,peanuts and chilli peppers. Outer layer is fried nicely but the inside part has not cooked well . It feels so hard to chew it.

3) Reshmi kebab:- It has its roots from the mughlai cuisine. It is not commonly prepared in the households due to absence of charcoal. It is mostly found on the indian restaurant menus and tops the order among the list of chicken dishes.

It is served with chicken on which a coil made up of sugar is placed. This coil brings the sweetness and spicyness in a single dish. It is not served in the buffet. People have to order it by A la carte.

Main course:-

1) .paneer butter masala:- It has a slight sweet taste and very mildly spiced. This gravy is mostly eaten with butter naan. It is the best combination. Mostly delhi people love it.

2) Chicken thai curry :- Chicken coated with lemongrass,fish sauce,sugar,affirm like leaves and coconut milk is mixed in the curry.

3) Fish curry:- Fish is one of my favourite sea foods at home and most times it is the fish fry or pepper fish that is made as they are quick to make. But at this place,fish is soft but too spicy.

Desserts:-

1) Chocolate brownie:- For those of us who need to keep gluten-free, these brownies will satisfy the chocolate craving. This is soooo chocolatey and it is made up of rich chocolate. I really love the texture of it.

2) Caramel custard:- In a large bowl, eggs, milk and vanilla and remaining sugar until combined but not foamy and made as a pudding. It is softy and melts in your mouth easily.

Another 2 desserts are also wonderful, but I don’t remember those names.
